For the past two weeks we've been having a series on the sins that Men oftenly struggle with Knowingly and Unknowingly. We're humbled by the overwhelming comments and feedback from people who have learnt valuable insights since we begun from Episode 1.
Today, let's talk about the sins of Emotional and Spiritual absence.
This is the dad whose kids don't know what it's like to crawl up in his lap and fall asleep, or to roll around on the ground with him and act crazy and be chased and tickled. This dad's kids don't know what it's like to have their father tuck them in the night and have him pray for them and read scripture, because he's got some important television shows he needs to watch.
This guy's wife doesn't know what it's like to be spiritually led by her husband. He's expecting his pastor to do it. So he never reads the Bible with her or prays with her or talks about spiritual matters or sets an example of spiritual maturity for her.
This man needs to invest himself fully in his true calling. That means in all areas of his life - physically, spiritually, mentally, and emotionally.
Let's flee from this sins of emotional and Spiritual absence, because I know it stinks and it may cause more harm than good to your immediate Family.
Want to access your inner man? Be there. Be all there. Spend intimate time with your Wife and Children. Infact take advantage of this COVID Season. Instead of spending time in social media and watching unnecessary TV programs, I challenge you to take advantage of this Gift of Time and Spend more time with your Family.
